Hello, I am Shawnte’ your holistic herbalist. I began my love of herbs as a little girl running around in my granny’s garden. Every morning we would go out in the garden and she would sing, talk and care for all of the wonderful magical plants growing there. She would teach me the temperaments of each plant, the proper placements for them, how to nurture and care for the soil so they can grow and thrive. I was full of questions and granny always seemed to have all the answers for my young curious mind. We would spend endless hours in the morning working in the garden, and even more time in her sun room and kitchen; This is where the magic happened. We would dry herbs, canned fresh fruits, make tinctures and bitters, as well as, prepared meals for the family.

Using natural remedies for common colds, fevers, and illnesses were second nature to our family. We hardly ever got sick and words like holistic or herbalism did not exist in our vocabulary, it was just our way of life. That was just how my granny did it and her granny did it and her granny. Generations of homeopathic practices being pasted down organically brought to the western world from Central Africa.

Answering the call to carry on the family traditions in homeopathic practices, alone with my love and passion for plants and their magical properties is how I share with my community, just like granny did. I believe that everyone has the power to heal themselves if given the knowledge to do so, as well as, creating an environment internally and externally for healing to take place. I am humbly grateful to be of service to you and your family, and I’m honored that our paths have crossed. Let’s share space together.
